Seehof am Höllerer See

The kitchen had everything we needed, from the kettle and Nespresso machine to plenty of coffee and tea, plus a fridge with a freezer section. There was also a washer and dryer near the entrance. The rooms are nice and roomy, and morning sunshine coming in made us feel good. It’s a beautiful, clean house that was warm even in winter, with nature, quiet, and the lake nearby. The setting is a little tucked away, but once you find it, it’s fantastic. A few small issues aside, it worked perfectly for us. If you don’t need luxury or five stars, you’ll be happy here. People can always find something to complain about, of course. Hopefully we can book a spot again, though I can imagine rooms are hard to find in summer. The apartments next door are great as well. It’s a nice place to relax, and we’re always glad to come back. Five stars!

It’s a decent place for a long weekend, and the beds are comfortable. The whole property feels very spacious and open plan, so it seems there could have been room for a second toilet. With six people, having just one toilet in the bathroom wasn’t enough. The lake also isn’t quite right on the doorstep, it’s about 100 meters away, and the private jetty takes a seven-minute walk to reach. Otherwise, it was missing almost everything. Still, an okay option.

It comes down to taste, and it wasn’t really for me. About 90% is private land, quite a bit of forest has been cleared, and I don’t know why. The water also looked somewhat murky.
