The garden was such a lovely place to unwind, and Spike could wander around freely. We felt at home from the moment we arrived at the Gingerbread House in early June 2025. Birgit and Klaus welcomed us with sparkling wine, homemade cake, and such thoughtful service. Everything was just right. We enjoyed it so much that we’ll definitely come back. Many thanks from Gaby, Kurt, and Spike.

The forest trails nearby were perfect for exploring with my Labrador Finn, though we were just as happy relaxing in the garden with its sauna, whirlpool, and nice places to sit. Inside, we could curl up by the fireplace. This was my second holiday with Birgit and Klaus, and once again they made us feel at home with such a warm welcome. The little house and garden are beautiful, and so is the surrounding area. Thanks for such a lovely stay. We hope to see you again soon!

The garden has so many spots to sit back and relax, and the cottage was spotless, with thoughtful touches all around. We stayed at the Gingerbread House from July 22nd to 27th, 2024, and felt at home straight away. Birgit and Klaus gave us such a warm welcome. There was a fruit basket, sparkling wine, and even cake waiting for us. Everything we could need was there. If we could give 100 stars, we would. Birgit and Klaus, you’re wonderful people!

Hiking, being out in nature, and then unwinding in the sauna made for a week of pure relaxation. We stayed at this lovely gingerbread house from January 12th to 19th, 2025, and arrived to a warm welcome, a lit fireplace, delicious cake, and plenty of other treats. It was such a wonderful week. Thank you, you lovely people. We’ll definitely be back. And Birgit, keep that big, loving heart. From Frank, Martina, and Caruso.

The fully fenced garden, whirlpool, and sauna with their breathtaking view were a real highlight for us and our four-legged companion. Maria Nikoletta is tucked away in a peaceful spot, while still being within easy driving distance of countless places to visit. We spent a week there recently and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped so well that you can leave everything but clothes and food at home. After years of staying in holiday homes and apartments, we’ve never met hosts so attentive and friendly. They welcomed us warmly and were always looking out for our comfort without getting in the way. It’s a perfect setup for relaxing, and we’d love to return.
