The cabin sits in complete quiet, with a beautiful view across the Lavant Valley. It's well equipped, the drinking water is good, and both the stove and wood burner are easy to heat. Nights stay pleasantly cool even in midsummer. You can keep things cool in the well using waterproof containers, and the forest is full of mushrooms. A path through woods and alpine meadows connects to hiking trails leading to nearby cabins and mountains. It's great for children, and the owners are friendly. You do hear the cowbells, of course.

A very friendly host family and plenty of things to do make this secluded alpine hut a lovely place to rest and recharge. It's just right for switching off, and we'd be happy to return.
