The rooms were warm, with a hot shower, and there was a room for storing skis and snowboards. It's a cozy B&B, with the option of half board next door, where the food and service were good. A bus stop is just a minute away, and the bus is free with a lift pass. You can walk a minute to a nice blue piste down to town or the gondola, or go a few minutes uphill to the main lifts at the bottom of the resort.

The location was good, and it was very clean and warm with a good shower. The place could use some modernising. In the family room, the kids' beds need improving or a mattress topper.

It's easy to walk into town, so the location is super convenient. The rooms also have a lovely outdoor area where you can enjoy food and drinks while taking in the view after a day out. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was food available, but some of it seemed past its best.

The hotel was clean overall, and our room was in the outbuilding above the ski storage room. We were oddly allowed only one key. The bed was comfortable and the room looked clean at first, but there was a lot of dust behind furniture, and we found silverfish on the walls and floor. We caught them in glasses and tossed them out the window. We didn't get fresh towels during the week. At first the receptionist was friendly, then a bit abrupt about a few things. Crystal ski had described the hotel as vegan friendly, but when our vegan guest was choosing from the menu, he was simply told, “vegan not possible.” He had to take tablets to deal with this, and at dinner was even served beef soup. It ruined his stay, and he would give the hotel one star. The food tasted nice, but after skiing the portions weren't enough, so we had to go into town to eat more. I'd suggest serving bread with the soups and adding more carbs to dinner. Breakfast was a buffet, which was better, but the choice was very limited compared with other buffets we've had. Baked beans would have been a welcome addition to the attempted full English breakfast. The nuts, fruit and fibre selection was good, as were the juicing machine and continental options. A couple of the male waiters were very friendly, while a couple of others were somewhat abrupt. The biggest issue around mealtimes was how tightly packed the back area tables were, leaving no privacy from neighboring tables. We were lucky to make friends, but it wouldn't suit anyone wanting a private meal. After dinner, there was hardly anywhere communal to sit and unwind with a drink: about four seats by the reception front door, or else your own table or another dining table. Staff were attentive if needed, but it didn't feel sociable or comfortable. And watch out, another jug of water for the table is chargeable. The reception toilets were very nice and clean. The location is great if you only want to ski, have dinner and go to bed. For nightlife or anything else, I'd avoid it. It's a mile from town. The walk downhill is fine, but the uphill return is quite a hike, even for us fit younger guys, especially after drinks or food. We often took taxis. There isn't much apres ski unless you're willing to go down to Zell and back. Ski in, ski out is very easy, but getting back to the hotel means taking a red or black slope. They're fine, but very icy and full of moguls at the end of the day. The blue route down ends at the bottom of the hill, so you then need a bus, taxi, or a mile's walk uphill in your ski gear. The spa is quite small, with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. You need to be prepared to be nude to use or enter them. That's fine for most and part of Austrian culture, but if you're uncomfortable being naked, you won't be able to use those facilities. You can reserve or book the area for a fee. Massages are also available to book, though we didn't get one. We had a great time, but I wouldn't return to this hotel. I can see why it suits some people. It wasn't for us, though good company and a big focus on skiing made the visit enjoyable.

I had a very bad experience with the service. There was no one at reception, so I was told to check myself in after finding the keys left outside my room. When I asked for a kettle, again I was told nobody was available. After I left, they charged €165 to my Visa. I believe they took the money because I had left a bad review, and they had my card details. Please be careful with these people.
