Das Baderhaus

During week 7, 2025, we were happy with our stay. The apartment was spacious, downtown and quiet enough that noise didn't bother us. Family Lumpi were really helpful and nice. The building dates from the 16th century but has been completely renovated with quality materials that respect its age. Restaurants are 0 m away, a supermarket 100 m, the ski bus shuttle 200 m and a ski lift 300 meter. What's not to like!

The bed was terrible. We later found a review on another site mentioning it in October 2015, and clearly nothing had been done 5 months later. At €800+ for 7 days, surely they could afford a new one? The apartment itself was nice inside, in an old traditional building with a central location. It was well equipped, even down to an hdmi cable. The lady who runs it seemed very nice, but we met her just once, after asking to see her. Most contact was with Peter, her husband, who runs the delicatessen below the apartments. He seemed to have no interest in the extra responsibility of his wife's apartments, and looked much happier chopping meat and preparing skulls of goats for sale in his shop. He was extremely rude, and gave us the constant impression that any request was too much trouble and that he'd rather we just went away. There was no warm welcome or advice about the area, and we had to introduce ourselves and ask our host's name. I wish I could recommend the apartment, but after paying so much, both my boyfriend and I felt even the occasional smile would have gone a long way. We wouldn't return or recommend it to friends and family.

Everything we needed was already in the house, and getting around was easy with shops, restaurants, apres ski and the ski lifts nearby. The Lumpi family were so friendly and flexible whenever anything came up. We’re definitely coming back! :)

We’d love to return next year. The apartment was warm, clean and nicely done in a mountain style, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. Shops and bars are about a minute away, with the ski lift around five minutes away. It seems like a good fit for families with kids or a group of friends.
