Living Schönwies

We really appreciated Mr. Alex and his wife’s warm welcome. Mr. Alex explained how to use the Summercard and what places to visit, and he was quick to reply on WhatsApp whenever we needed him. The apartment worked well for our family of two adults and two kids: two bedrooms with double beds, a living room with a sitting area, a kitchenette with a coffee machine, microwave, kettle, oven, dishwasher and fridge, plus a comfortable dining table and flat-screen TV. There was also a storage room with an ironing board, and a safe in each bedroom. We liked having a balcony with comfortable chairs, and the elevator made getting around easier. There’s free parking in front of the building, and the pool in the neighboring building was wonderful, very large, with lockers, showers and slides that the kids enjoyed. The location was convenient, about seven minutes from the center and Zell am See lake. There’s no air conditioning, but the fans provided in each room were enough for us. I’d highly recommend this apartment, 10/10. One drawback we found common to Zell am See apartments is the late 4 p.m. check-in and early check-out between 8 and 10 a.m. Cleaning fees at many apartments also seem high, around EUR 70 to 90, especially when there hasn’t been any cleaning during the stay. The three-bedroom apartment was spacious, and the full rooftop had a great mountain view. Alex and his sweet family were wonderful hosts, too.

The price seemed average compared with other apartments. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are new, and the owner is friendly and happy to help. Don’t hesitate to ask him for guidance.

Of all the places I’ve stayed while skiing since 1982 in Norway, Sweden, Italy, France and Austria, Living Schöneswies with Alex is among the best. The apartment was in great condition, and Alex made us feel very welcome and was always helpful. It’s an easy walk to the Cityexpress ski lift. Highly recommended.
