We stopped for lunch and tried the Kaiserschmarrn with plum compote. It was good, though I think I prefer the applemus version. Service was quick, and the place had a lively buzz.

This is more of an experience than a regular hotel. You can only get there by lift, and being there feels like joining a family with the owner-couple and the other guests. The lift closes at 5pm, which is nice for privacy. We spent the evenings hiking and eating at the restaurant. The husband cooks traditional, high quality dinners for hotel guests every night. The food was excellent for vegetarians too, and the prices were totally fair. Eating there each night is part of the experience. The owners, a couple, were very friendly and kind. The view is spectacular, and the fresh air and water in the Alps are amazing. This was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It’s a paradise for hikers and couples looking to relax and get away from daily routines. Book directly on their website, it’s easiest. We’ll definitely come back.

After a hike, lunch here was just right. The goulash soup was lovely, and the terrace has great views.
