The room was clean and had a bathtub, a balcony with comfortable chairs and an ashtray, which I appreciated as a smoker. There’s free internet in the room, and a nice restaurant just by reception. The coffee, though, was like dark water. I’d have given five stars, but I had to wait twice for the man at reception to look up from his computer. He could have been more welcoming, and his English was poor in a country where tourism is an industry. Still, I recommend the place. I’ve seen a lot worse.

We came back for a second ski holiday here, and once again the hotel was great for what we paid. The rooms were very clean, the food was good, and the people were friendly. What more do you need? Thanks, Hotel St. Hubertushof. Family Corp.

This hotel needs a complete renovation. It looks as though it has been in use for 40 years without any work done. The sauna was a disaster. There was a musty smell in room 28. In room 26, four tiles came off the wall during a bath and fell on someone. And there were bedbugs in the bed in room 217. Get as far away from this hotel as you can. I have photos and can show them.

This place is for smokers and noisy people. There’s an open smoking room opposite reception. In the middle of the night, unfriendly staff played loud music for a few drunk guests. The food and service were generally poor. The only good points were a clean room and a friendly cleaning lady.

Does anyone know what happened to the hotel? I stayed there many times as a child, and it left such a sweet memory. We wanted to visit a few days ago, but were shocked to find it closed. It looked abandoned, like Pripyat. Why?
