Penthouse Jimmy Zell am See

Kamil was especially friendly and helpful. His tip to skip renting a car and use the public transportation pass provided by the hotel made getting around easy. The House Hotel is close to the city center, bus and train stations, and within walking distance of Zell lake. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast had a delicious range of fresh options. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The hotel could be cleaner, from the elevator right through to the apartment, and that took away from an otherwise great stay. The location made it easy to explore the town and enjoy the surrounding nature, and the staff, especially at reception and in the kitchen, were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and always willing to make things pleasant. With better cleaning, it would be perfect. We had a wonderful experience overall at The House in Zell am See.

The location was convenient, around a 7-minute walk to the center and lake, and breakfast was good. The breakfast staff were very warm and friendly. Reception was a different story: the receptionist was unhelpful and unfriendly, leaving a bad first impression. We booked a month ahead and requested a nice view, but our room looked over a garbage area. Free parking is very limited, and paid parking at €15 per day is quite expensive. The view and reception service made the stay less enjoyable, and I don’t think I’d return.

The free upgrade and the relaxation area were lovely extras, and the ski room too. Those little touches left us with really good memories. Everything felt perfect.
