Alpenrose

We came back for our fourth visit, and this time we had the worst service of our lives. A blonde woman with hair a little longer than her arms and a tattoo on her right hand was rude about everything we asked and kept making faces that made it clear she didn’t want us there. Our family of five to eight people usually spends a lot of money here, but this was our last visit. I can’t recommend the place, and we’d rather eat fries somewhere than come back. Some of our family are vegan, and we came especially for vegan and vegetarian choices because those had been offered to us last time. The menu I shared is no longer valid. On an earlier visit, we called to ask and were told there was a special vegetarian and vegan menu, though it wasn’t listed online and we had to ask for it. The food tasted very good, and it was nice to have vegan options in the area. I marked the dishes that could be made vegan with a green “V.” The goulash had to be ordered ahead because it wasn’t regularly on the menu.

The visit to Gasthof Alpenrose was a great experience. The food was delicious, and the view was breathtaking.

We had a really enjoyable weekend stay, and being able to bring our dog was fantastic. The location is great for getting to the cross-country ski trails. Our third-floor room looked toward the Zöblen cable car and was spacious, with a sitting area and table. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and had everything we needed. They even made us a cappuccino when we asked. We ate at the restaurant once, and they kindly brought the food to our room as requested. The fajita and mixed grill were very good, and the meat was cooked just right. A lovely short getaway!

Tina was amazing, and we really admire the way she runs the place. She was always there for us and welcomed us so warmly from the first day. She was wonderful with our children, too, and we felt completely at ease. The hotel is fantastic, especially the hospitality. Thank you for everything!
