Thurner's Alpenhof

We’ve stayed at Thurnher’s Alpenhof and the Residences Apartments three times in the last two months, once with the family and twice as a couple. It feels like coming back to our ski chalet, thanks to a professional, kind and very attentive team. Manager Dieter Schenk is around and his presence seems to reassure everyone. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, excellent food and a modern spa. The ski lift is just a few steps away, making it a great starting point for the 400 km ski area.

We’ll keep coming back. The staff feel like family, the food is delicious and arrives on time, and the rooms have just been renovated. My family has been staying here for over 12 years and we still can’t get enough. Best hotel in Zürs!

We chose this hotel for its personal care and high service quality during a week split between St Anton and Zürs. The building has a historic feel, with distinctive furniture and art collections, and the staff and management work hard to make a stay memorable. Its location is great too, with a shuttle right outside to Lech if you want to go there.

At $1000 a night, the small room felt overpriced. It faced the street and was quite noisy, and a lot of things needed renovation: the toilet door’s clothes hook was broken, the plaster was cracked, and the sofa bed gave me back pain right away. The spa looked nice but was small. On the first day there were noisy children, dirty towels left on the floor and benches, an empty water dispenser, and guests wearing board shorts and swimsuits in the sauna. Things improved after I complained. The water also wasn’t cleaned regularly, since a band aid was floating in it for three days in a row. I had a very friendly conversation with the director, and we received a discount.
