Cooking was easy here since the kitchen had everything we needed, and we could bring our own groceries for meals. We were glad to find this place near Mt. Selwyn while heading out to see the snow. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and my daughter enjoyed chatting with them and their lovely dog, Bella. By morning, a little snow had settled outside, which made her even more excited. We were happy with our stay. Photos are from outside the resort.

Dave and Michelle do a lovely job looking after this place, and Miracle the goat was a favourite among the animals, which include chickens and goats. We found the resort while travelling through NSW and thought it was a great little discovery. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and the huge shared kitchen has all the utensils you need. There’s laundry on site too. It’s outside Adaminaby, so you’ll need your own vehicle, but it’s a great base in the Snowy Region.

Michelle and her husband made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to help. San Michele is even more impressive in person than it looks online, with beautiful surroundings and a calm atmosphere that was just right for a relaxing break. A real hidden gem in Adaminaby, highly recommended.

The goats were a lovely part of our stay, especially one that was very easy to approach. We enjoyed walking through the paddock on the property in the late afternoon. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and a good size, and the people running the place were friendly and helpful. We spent a night here while touring the Snowy Mountains; it’s a short drive from Adaminaby, where we had dinner.

The big shared space was the best part for us. There’s a well-equipped commercial kitchen, a walk-in fridge and freezer, a generous dining area and a lounge with a warm wood fire. Having the shared kitchen helped make our holiday much more affordable. David and Michelle are friendly, accommodating hosts, and the resort sits among rolling hills with the occasional horses, kangaroos and chooks. It’s a great country getaway or a place to stop on the way to skiing, and it’s close to Mt Selwyn Snow Resort, which is good for beginners and kids. The rooms are older motel-style, with compact but comfortable bedrooms and spacious bathrooms. The electric fan heaters work very well, though they’re a bit noisy, and the free internet was good. There’s an older games room with table tennis and snooker, a gym, a pool that would be great in summer, and a country-style clay tennis court. Some of the court lines are a little damaged, but the kids had a lot of fun.
