The apartment was run-down, with old, worn carpet that looked near the end of its life. The washer worked, but don’t count on the dryer. We had one load in there for nine hours because we thought we were doing something wrong, and they ended up supplying a clothes horse. The kitchenette exhaust fan was broken and the showers weren’t clean. If you’re thinking of staying here, make sure you get one of the renovated suites.

The view from our top-floor three-bedroom place was one of a kind, and the layout was lovely. A few things could use attention: one side of the TV cabinet had come off the wall, there was no shower door in one bathroom, and some cosmetic bits were damaged. The spa bath had no plug either. We were only there one night, so didn't ask for one. Still a great stay, and we'd happily come back.

Being right on the beach was the one real plus, and the sauna was surprisingly good. The rest felt more like a cheap motel than a four-star hotel. The rooms were stark and unattractive, with stained carpets, a broken lamp, no phone, and a bathtub with peeling paint that couldn't be used. The gym cups were gone and the water jug was empty. Our kitchen had no proper cooking knife; after asking, I got a steak knife that wasn't useful for cooking. Housekeeping took the forks from our room instead of washing them, so we went from three to none by the end of the week. They also left messes and the bed unmade. Parking cost extra, as did the cheap coffee pods. The restaurant is separate from the hotel, so there was no room service despite it being advertised. Front desk calls often went unanswered, and when I raised problems, nothing was done. Staff seemed unsure of what they were doing. The internet was the worst I've had in years of travel: painfully slow, intermittent, and required signing in every time, with no paid upgrade option. The advertised kitchen and basic services didn't match the price.

The location was the best part, and the staff were genuinely friendly. My son and I still didn't find it relaxing and won't return. The pool area was dirty, the Wi-Fi crawled, and the room key worked only about half the time. Parking cost another $30 per night. We paid nearly $500 a night for one of the more affordable rooms, so its poor condition was a letdown, including rust on the bath and shower floor. If you face the park, expect the rubbish truck at 6:50 every morning for nearly 20 minutes. Maybe you'll sleep through it, but we didn't. We stayed December 28-30, 2025. I'm sure this will get a generic response.
