Bayview Apartments

The location is brilliant and the accommodation could have been great, but our stay will stick in my mind for all the wrong reasons. Dirty linen bags that smelled musty and seemed to have been there for days were piled in the walkway and on the stairs we had to climb. When we complained, the host couldn’t understand why we were unhappy and said, “Well that’s not my fault.” Customer service and comfort clearly weren’t a priority.

The front apartments are in a great spot, just a five-minute walk to shops, restaurants and hotels. The main bedroom is large, and being at the end of Anzac rd means it’s quiet with little passing traffic. Parking is tight, with less than 2 metres of clearance and no height indication. Several things needed maintenance: the lights, ventilation, jammed-shut windows, loose door lock and kitchen panel, a broken chair leg, and ants.

The apartment was beautiful and clean, and the managers were excellent to communicate with. Everything is an easy walk away. We had no view, though, and parking a large car was difficult. I’d stay again if we’re in Glenelg.

I was tasked with cleaning this modern-looking high-rise apartment, which had beach and ocean views and easy access to local shops, restaurants and theme parks. The design and decor looked pristine and the quality seemed high. I wouldn’t mind spending a few nights there myself.
