Georg made us feel very welcome and was attentive throughout our anniversary stay. We loved the Unwind Cottage’s charming decor, cozy feel, fireplace and lovely little balcony for morning coffee. It’s a peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful nature, with wineries and restaurants close by. We were really happy from the moment we arrived, and would absolutely recommend it for a romantic getaway. Five stars!

Ponder made such a relaxing base for seeing the region, with fabulous food, plenty of wine, Onkaparinga national park and the beach all nearby. We’ve now stayed at Karawatha twice and are already hoping to come back. It’s such a restful place in a beautiful part of the world, and everything seems to have been thought of, even gluten free bread baked especially for us. I’d happily recommend Karawatha cottages as a base.

Locals told us this place is a rare find in McLaren Vale, where lots of other options are either very expensive or quite old. We can see why. Unwind was beautiful and had everything we needed, and Georg’s tips on which roads to take helped us cycle to nearby vineyards. We’d recommend it without hesitation.

The surroundings are stunning, and you’ve thought of all the details that made our start to married life so special. We loved our stay in the gorgeous Unwind Cottage and will definitely come back one day. After such a full-on but beautiful week and wedding day, it gave us a chance to breathe and reset. Thanks for letting us stay, you’re the best 🤩

Georg organised the walking trail for us seamlessly, and it was amazing. The cottage is also very well placed for walking to wineries. We had a fantastic three-night stay in Unwind, with a beautiful cottage that showed real attention to detail and a lovely breakfast with plenty to eat. Highly recommend Karawatha Cottages!
