Mawson Lakes Hotel & Function Centre

There was a mix-up with my daughter’s meal, but the staff sorted it out quickly and politely. We’ve always had a good feed here, and there’s a nice range to choose from. Prices seem about standard for places these days. We’ll definitely eat here again, and I’d recommend trying the meals.

We came away from our daughter’s birthday with so many compliments about the evening. Richard and his team deserve a lot of credit for that. Hiring the function room was stress free from beginning to end, and the staff on the night were attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout. We really appreciate everyone’s effort and professionalism, and highly recommend them.

The rooms have recently been upgraded, which was welcome after our last stay when the carpets were filthy. Staff were incredible with our young family and set everything up perfectly. It’s close to the shopping centre, the lake, and some delicious restaurants. Prices are very reasonable, and the food is amazing. We love staying here and highly recommend it.

There was plenty of space around our table to park walkers, and our food arrived promptly. The meals were a suitable size and quality for the price. We were a group of 17 from a disability support group, booked for 11:30 on Saturday. We only found the accessible toilet between the dining area and accommodation section as we were leaving. Since we came in from the dining side, we hadn’t noticed it, and it would have helped if staff had pointed it out, especially as some people in our group find regular restroom doors difficult to manage with a walker. Also, smaller portions at a lower price would be ideal. One of the wait staff seemed unfriendly, though I’m sure it wasn’t deliberate, and had no smile, which made us feel a bit unwelcome. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, with three or four staff around and some chatting together. Thank you.
