The Mile End Hotel

For $150 I got accommodation, beers and a feed, which is top tier. The room was $100 for a double bed in a single room, with shared toilets and showers that were secure and clean. Shower toiletries were supplied, and there was tea and coffee plus a small kitchenette for guests in the morning. Check-in and checkout were easy. It’s a great little pub, about 10 minutes by bus from the Airport or 10 minutes from the City. There’s a nicely sized beer garden backing onto a drive-through bottle shop. Service was good, the hosts were polite, and Coopers beers were well priced. On Tuesday the schnitzel, salad and chips were $20 and really nice. I’ll stay here whenever I’m in Adelaide.

There were 17 of us at the hotel for my son’s birthday dinner last night, and everyone was well fed. The food was great and the staff went out of their way to take care of us all evening. Service and food were exceptional. We’ll certainly come back and recommend the place to others. Please pass this on to the staff who worked the evening of 25/11/25.

During the middle of lunch service, I couldn’t find anyone to serve us. We tried the front bar, then went back to the back bar, twice, with no service. The girl in gaming was on her phone, looked at us, then looked back down. A kitchen hand briefly came out and hurried back into the kitchen. Eventually the one girl on the floor saw us, but moved with no urgency. With TAB at two bars, I’d expect an RP or employee to be keeping an eye on the bars. It was pretty shocking and felt like nobody worked there.

Lovely food and attentive staff, with a nice range of places to dine and sit. A great spot for lunch with the girls.
