The Palms Apartments

We really enjoyed the stay and would happily return. The secure underground car park was reassuring, and although the apartments are away from the CBD and quieter, you can still walk there if you want. There are several cafes nearby, plus the Kent Town Hotel just a few minutes away, where I’d recommend the food. The rooms are spacious and set up for longer stays, with comfortable beds and very large bathrooms.

A comfortable place close to the city, with very friendly staff. There are three cafes nearby, and Pan and vines does excellent pizzas. The hotel is also close for meals, a bar or fine dining. Parking under the building is available for an extra charge.

I was so disappointed with my stay that I have to write this, even though they told me not to leave a bad review. I was travelling with my rabbit and needed a pet friendly apartment for two nights, the 25th and then the 28th, before heading to Kadina for two nights. On arrival, staff tried to charge much more than I’d been told. I have messages showing they said there’d be a $50 pet bond for both stays and nothing else, but they wanted another $300, which I refused. Later, when I went out for food, a woman told me they’d also ask for a $300 bond for the 28th. That had never been mentioned in the messages. I said no and that I’d cancel, even though it would leave me with nowhere to stay. She also said I was supposed to keep my pet in her crate. I don’t agree with that, a pet friendly place should allow pets outside their crates. I also reacted to the bathroom soap, which caused me to have a UTI, as I’m quite sensitive.

I’ve had a long term stay in the apartments and they’re run brilliantly. The staff are friendly and cooperative, they sign for parcels, and there’s secure parking. It’s only a five-minute walk to the cbd. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
