Tryp Adelaide by Wyndham

The breakfast buffet was wonderful each day, and there was a lovely bar for a social drink, plus a welcome cocktail on arrival. The gym was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. Rooms were beautifully clean, quiet, spacious and well appointed. The staff were charming and hardworking, and their hospitality was warm and welcoming. I had a marvellous stay at Tryp by Wyndam and am already looking forward to my next Adelaide trip. I’ll stay here again.

I stayed from the 11th of Jan to 15th of Jan 2026. Avash at reception upgraded me to a suite, which made me very happy. Everyone on staff was friendly, and the room was clean and organised. The TV had its own foxtel-lite, which I used on all four nights. The hotel is well located in the middle of CBD, near the museums, university, botanical gardens and Rundle Mall. It costs considerably less than other places nearby, so I thought it was a pretty good deal for the money. The sewage smell mentioned in other reviews is still there. I had to keep the door to one of the wet closets closed so it wouldn’t stink up the whole room. The bathroom with the shower didn’t smell of sewage. It’s an ongoing issue, and I hope they fix it soon. If I return to Adelaide, I’d most definitely stay here again, provided they sort out the sewage problem.

One of my favourite Adelaide hotels. It’s a really clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay, or to get away from the suburbs. Food, drinks and party spots are mostly within walking distance, so the location is great. The staff and service are always amazing.

The buffet breakfast was lovely, and the hotel’s super central CBD location made it easy to go for walks every day. But we had issues from the start of booking through our friends’ Wyndham owners program, which is another story. Housekeeping was almost nonexistent over the many times we’d booked it. Dirty dishes weren’t replaced, and when we mentioned that, we were told to wash them with dishwashing liquid from the convenience store across the road. Rubbish wasn’t taken out either. Although laundry facilities were available, there was no laundry powder unless we bought a box at the convenience store. Staff at the upstairs restaurant were abrupt and accusatory. There was no parking on site.
