Harbour Cove

Simon made us feel welcome and suggested some great restaurants. He also kindly let us check out late, which helped us catch our flight. Check-in was smooth, and the room was clean and tidy. It was our first visit, and we’re very grateful to Simon!

This was a great base for our four-night stay, with a spacious, modern room and everything we needed for comfort: washer and dryer, kitchen, pool towels, TVs in both the bedroom and lounge, and an outdoor balcony. It’s an apartment, so the room isn’t serviced during your stay, which suited us. Just remember to take your rubbish down to the basement before you leave. The location worked perfectly for our plans. Cruise Whitsundays terminal is next door for boat trips to the islands and Whitehaven Beach, and the Port of Airlie bus stop is right there too. We caught the Heart of Reef Shuttle to the airport, and Simon, the friendly onsite manager, let us store our bags when we arrived before check-in and again after checkout. You can also get picked up here for Whitsundays Croc Safari, or call a Tuk Tuk for that tour. There are waterfront and boat views, and the heated pool with deck chairs is a decent size. The accommodation was very quiet. It’s about a 15-20 minute harbour walk to the main street restaurants. For breakfast we liked Rufus & Co cafe, only about five minutes away, and we got snacks or coffee at Whitsunday Cruise terminal before tours. We had dinner at KCs Bar & Grill, Eastwood and the Deck, then dessert at Gelatissimo. Lunch was included on all our tours. We really enjoyed our stay and can see why it’s so highly rated.

We had a peaceful seven-night stay at Harbour Cove and would definitely return. The modern apartments were clean, comfortable, and had lovely marina views. The setting was quiet throughout. Being beside cruise Whitsundays made getting to tours easy, and there’s a bus stop nearby if you want to ride into town. We also enjoyed the pleasant walk around the marina. Rufus cafe was just two minutes away for coffee and breakfast. Simon met us when we arrived, kindly let us check in early, and gave us helpful local restaurant and tour suggestions. Highly recommend these apartments for Airlie.

Simon showed us around when we arrived and pointed out places to visit and things to do. Our Great Barrier Reef cruise left from the dock just below our balcony, which was incredibly convenient. We also managed to do some laundry, and though we ran out of time to use it, the pool looked nice. Underground parking was handy too. We spent two nights here during a two-week Australian holiday, and this was easily our best stay. The apartment was clean and well kept, with comfy beds and couches and a nice shower. We had a great harbour view from the balcony and could walk to Airlie Beach shops and restaurants. It was quiet, and I slept really well. Definitely recommend!
