The staff even helped me with my luggage to the nearby Coach, which I really appreciated. There’s a special spot near the front office for quality free items that travelers can’t bring with them. I had a fantastic top-floor room with lockers inside, a bathroom and shower just a few steps away, and wonderful views. It was warm, and the bed had a good quality doona. There was a double bed below and a single bed by the window, overlooking the University and Ocean. The windows opened wide for lovely fresh air. The place is under new management, and they seemed busy adding some great things. I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s going next time. There’s a fully equipped kitchen on the first floor, plus another kitchen and fridge area on the second. It also has recreation rooms, men’s and women’s toilets and showers, and a nice TV and reading room. Everyone does their bit to keep it clean. Wish I’d come here first!

NOT RECOMMENDED. The place was dirty and poorly ventilated, with no AC and dirty toilets. The actual place didn’t match the pictures on Google. Check it out before paying, and thank me later.

NOT recommended! I had a really bad experience with the receptionist. He was rude and wouldn’t host me because I was taking too long to choose a room. He also claimed to own several hotels around the world and seemed to have delusions of grandeur. If that’s true, why work as a hostel receptionist? Unbelievable 😂
