Albany Central Apartments

The kitchen, lounge, and bathroom were nice, and the location was great. Gemma was quick to answer questions and helped when we misplaced the keys, thank you! The bedroom was uncomfortable, with a musty smell and a bed that was hard to sleep on, especially beyond one night. We wondered if the carpet had been affected by flooding in the past. The apartment felt stuffy too. It was cool in the evenings, but the water system right outside the bedroom was too noisy to leave the window open, and the bedroom could use a fan. For anyone staying a few days, it would be nice to have fresh towels and sheets every two days.

Apartment 4 was a delight for our three nights. It was clean, nicely presented, and had thoughtful little extras. I'd happily stay again. A drying rack and kitchen flooring throughout could be considered. Thanks, Gemma!

We spent four nights in apartment 2 and slept dreadfully. Hot water heaters for several apartments sit right outside the bedroom window, and they were noisy even with it shut. I emailed Gemma to ask whether they could be switched off during sleeping hours, but didn't get a reply. The kitchen and living room were adequate, but the bedroom wasn't somewhere we could get a restful night's sleep. We wouldn't recommend this business.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment 4. The location was great and the beds were comfortable, but the dirty carpet was the first thing we noticed when we walked in. It smelled damp and musty, possibly because it's an old building, and the blinds were filthy and needed attention. We also had to ask for basics like bin liners, tea towels, and laundry liquid, none of which had been provided. The owners may want to check what the cleaners are actually getting to.
