The two upstairs bedrooms were spacious and spotless, and the apartment had a roomy kitchen with a decent amount of equipment. The laundry had both a washer and dryer. We also got a complimentary breakfast pack, though the rice pops were a little stale and the other items were fine. The woman we spoke with by phone was very friendly, and we had a pleasant stay at Banksia at Middleton. A few kitchen utensils could use replacing.

Banksia @ Middleton cancelled our reservation, which had been booked since March for a stay less than three months away, without calling or discussing it with us. At first they said it was Booking.com’s mistake and told us to contact them because they couldn't help. We now hear their leases may not be renewed, and apparently they're trying to renegotiate them, which makes it confusing that our booking wasn't kept. It's too late to find somewhere else and change our booked holiday leave. Very poor form and completely unprofessional. You accepted the booking, so it should be honoured. :(

The location was beautiful, and we even had some local bandicoots visit. Apartment 17 was clean and had everything our family of five needed for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. This was our first trip to Albany, and we'd love to come back.
