The bed was comfortable, and the woman cleaner was lovely, polite and genuinely funny. She was a rare bright spot in an otherwise grim stay. For $330 a night, though, the room was a disappointment. It looked like it hadn’t been updated in ages, and the Wi-Fi was so slow and laggy it barely seemed like a service. Only three TV channels worked, out of all the ones available, and even those were unreliable. The walls were thin enough that I could hear the neighbours’ whole routine, like living on a mine site. Facilities were minimal, the décor was tired, and the toilet paper felt like it was made to strip paint. There was also a $10 charge if the cleaners washed your coffee cups. Albany has better options.

The room was old and worn, and for the price I felt pretty ripped off. I paid double what I think would have been fair, around $100 a night. The location was fine, and I had no interaction with the service staff, so those were neutral for me. Light from outside poured in all night through the uncovered window above the door. I struggled to fall asleep and kept waking up. There was also a $10 fee to wash a mug and spoon. I’d book somewhere else for that price.

A friend arranged this stop on our road trip, though she hadn’t stayed there either, so I don’t blame her. It was just barely passable. The room felt dated and badly needed a refresh, and the mattresses were worn and thin. The pillows seemed like they were stuffed with wool underfoot, they collapsed as soon as you touched them. I’m more of a self-catering person and like cooking with local specialties. I probably won’t be back soon, especially with nicer-looking places nearby.

The room itself was fine, but breakfast service was rude and unprofessional, and the advertising about breakfast was misleading. When we respectfully raised a reasonable question, the manager was very rude. We were given a “free” breakfast, but it was served with obvious disdain, the plate practically dumped in front of us. Guests were then told to enjoy breakfast that day because they wouldn’t be getting it the next day. My partner has travelled across the world, and this experience made her uncomfortable. We won’t stay again.

On our way from Springfield Qld to Mandurah W.A, we found this a great stop. The room was big, quiet and clean, with a comfy bed, microwave and easy check-in. Parking right in front of the room was handy, and getting to the location was easy too. The huge continental breakfast was amazing. The owner was friendly, and Tammy was great. I’d highly recommend it.
