We had a spacious apartment for our week, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living area and a balcony accessible from both the bedroom and lounge. The ocean view from it was awesome. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked well, though the kitchen and bathrooms felt a little dated. The resort faces the water, and I think every room has an ocean view and balcony. Alexandra Headland Beach and the surf club are right across the road. There are good cafes and restaurants nearby, and Cotton Tree and Mooloolaba are about a 20-30 minute walk away.

The reception team gave us beautiful service, and the Penthouse had stunning ocean views. I stayed at Aquarius Resort for the first time this month for my 30th birthday weekend. It was an amazing stay, and I'd absolutely come back.

Lovely apartment, but the bath wasn't very clean and had lots of curly black hairs. I tried cleaning it, then more seemed to come out when I switched on the jets, so I gave up and used the shower instead.

The penthouse itself was nicely fitted out, and the owners had supplied commendable crockery and cutlery. Management, though, were a zero for us. For three days and six people, we were given only two dishwasher tablets. The king bed had queen sheets that only came halfway down the mattress, and they ended up wrapping around us while we slept on the protective cover. At 8.50am our access cards stopped working without warning. Thankfully, we'd just finished clearing the room. A zero is still too generous for the management.

A great base for a relaxed, beachy Sunshine Coast weekend. The main beach is across the road, and a large shopping centre with movies is only a five-minute drive away.
