Seaforth Resort

We came for six nights to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday. There were two adults, two teenagers and my baby, and I’d requested two king beds and a cot. We got one king bed and two singles, with no cot. They brought up a broken portable cot and charged me an extra $20 a night. The apartment was a huge letdown: dirty, with dated furniture, cigarette burns in the carpet, yellow-stained sheer curtains, rusty bins and cockroaches. The ceilings were stained, the stove was faulty, the bathtub jets didn’t work and the walls were so thin we could hear everything from the neighbouring apartments and hallway. Wi-Fi also went down for several hours on three different days. I raised the problems with reception, but they were unhelpful and didn’t offer a solution. We gave notice and left a day early, but were refused a refund. I don’t know how this place got four stars. It definitely doesn’t meet that standard, and we won’t be coming back. If you want a nice, modern place for a holiday, I’d book somewhere else. The pools were nice, and the location was good, though not great. Overall, the resort was a massive disappointment, and I feel I wasted my time and money.

The area was quiet and relaxing, which made for a peaceful break from the busy city. Restaurants are nearby, there’s a supermarket close by, and the beach is within walking distance. We stayed five nights in a spacious one-bedroom apartment that was clean, quiet and very comfortable for two people. The staff member who helped us at check-in was kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the hotel.

The reception staff were lovely, and the hallways to the rooms were clean. I was visiting people who stayed here; their room was spacious and nice, though it could use a bit of a spruce-up. A couple of things had been shoddily repaired and were in poor condition, but overall it was clean, and the air-conditioning worked great. The balcony had a nice view. The foyer on the way to the rooms absolutely stank of vomit or durian fruit or something. The lifts were hot and had a pretty strong BO smell too. The price per night felt a bit excessive.

The kids had a great time choosing between the lap pool, spa and lagoon, and that made the stay relaxing and fun for all of us. Everything we needed was nearby, and the location couldn’t be better. Sarah and Kim were already taking fantastic care of us before we arrived, and their top-notch service made our visit feel extra special. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back.
