Margaret and Alf made the stop feel like staying with friends. They even watched my dog while I ran errands in Alice Springs in the extreme heat, then shared wine and stories with me and cooked a delicious breakfast in the morning. A Good Rest BnB has that genuine bed-and-breakfast feel, with a spare room and breakfast made for you, which is a refreshing change from big hotels and modern AirBnBs. If you need a pet-friendly place on a long drive through central Australia, I couldn't recommend Margaret and Alf's place more. I'm sure I'll be back soon.

Alf kept us entertained with great stories about his experiences with First Nation People, and both hosts knew plenty about the attractions around Alice. We had an unforgettable trip, with Margaret and Alf making us feel at home throughout our four nights. Breakfast was terrific and suited each person's tastes and needs. They also shared bottles of red wine and fed us and the other guests pizza. This kind of genuine hospitality is special and in short supply. Well done, Margaret and Alf.

The location is peaceful, and you can walk to the Telegraph Station, town, and the end of the Larapinta Trail. I had a wonderful week in Alice Springs at A Good Rest. Margaret and Alf were welcoming, kind, and accommodating, and they'll mind your dog at no extra charge and treat it like their own. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed, and exceptionally clean. Breakfast is included in the tariff and is top notch.

We nearly gave up the rest of our trip just to stay longer. Margaret and Alf made it feel like we were visiting friends, sharing wine, stories, cake, and fascinating insights into life in Alice Springs. A perfect start to our time in AS. THANK YOU MARGARET & ALF.
