BIG4 Melbourne Holiday Park

The pool is a good size, the bathrooms have had a nice renovation since our last visit, and it's close to Melbourne CBD. Those were the bright spots. We came once before and enjoyed it, but this stay was pretty average. Our unpowered site cost $78 a night, far more than our visit 12 months ago, and the sites are so cramped we couldn't open our car door without clashing with the neighbour's. A family in the cabins at the back near the unpowered area yelled and carried on all night, so we barely slept. Get us back to free camping!

Arriving after hours could have been tricky, but a staff member went out of their way to help me find my cabin, which I really appreciated. The cabin was spacious and spotless, and the amenities were the cleanest I've come across, even after staying in lots of caravan parks. I loved the heated pool, and the outdoor cinema was a fantastic extra. I absolutely loved my stay at BIG4 Melbourne Caravan Park and will definitely be back.

A great base for exploring Melbourne and the surrounding area. We spent two nights here, and I'd definitely recommend it. The camp kitchen was really well equipped and the bathrooms were in very good condition. My daughter especially loved the playground, games room and pool.

The site was tidy and very clean, with all the facilities well maintained. We stayed in a hired campervan, and it was easy to walk to get groceries and stock up. Check-in was the difficult part. We'd booked ahead, but the process was high tech and lengthy, and it was hard to get personal help. This was the only site that asked for ID for our two night stay, even though our credit card was already on file. Every other site, including Big 4, had been friendly and straightforward.
