The staff were really nice, and I loved the location. I wasn’t disappointed with my room, but the mattress was too hard and felt cheap. More concerning, there was no staff on site after 5 or 6 p.m., no receptionist to open the gates or provide a room card, and no security staff. Given what goes on in AS, reception should be open 24 hours and there should be a security person at night. They need to hire more people.

The property could be good, but the owners need to take these problems seriously. We told them, yet nothing was fixed and we weren’t moved to another room. Our room was beside rooms under renovation, and it was dirty, noisy, and uncomfortable. The overhead lights and bedside lamps didn’t work. There was a lot of black mould in the bathroom and no exhaust fan, so it filled with steam within seconds of showering and felt suffocating. The location is good, though at night some shady characters tried to sneak in behind us.

The rooms were very clean, and Jaz at reception was super helpful and efficient. It’s a lovely central place to stay, with good value if you want somewhere safe and gated in central Alice Springs. I’d highly recommend it.

Nobody was there at 7pm to help us get in or keep the place staffed. The gate was a nightmare to shut, and around 30 people let themselves in during the night, yelling and screaming as loudly as they could inside the facility. It didn’t feel safe. We booked after a 12-hour drive from Darwin, based on solid reviews on hotels.com. Instead, this was possibly the worst place I’ve stayed. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, the floor was dirty, and the place looked like it was under construction. Not good, not safe, and I’m never coming back.

Reception wouldn’t help us get another room, even though ours was dirty and had lots of cockroaches. Terrible experience, not recommended at all!
