The history of Monash Cottage made the stay feel especially meaningful to me. I learned it was built by Monash University in the 1950s as a zoology field station, and since I used to study at Monash, I felt a real connection to the place. My family and I had a memorable night there, and we even spotted little rabbits hopping around as we left. It’s quiet, about a 15-minute drive from town, and set up with everything we needed, including cookware, utensils, condiments, and a washing machine. I can’t say enough about it. If I’m in the area again, I’d stay there without hesitation.
