Marcia and Andrew made a full house and all the wedding preparations feel easy. They were warm, generous and flexible, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Marcia handled the inevitable last-minute changes with real skill, and her breakfasts were generous and beautifully put together. The reception food she arranges with Stuart Oldfield of Handmade Catering was outstanding. Our guests have kept complimenting both the venue and the catering, then and since. We held our daughter’s wedding and reception at Collingrove Homestead in March 2014, and stayed for the couple of days beforehand. The accommodation was excellent, especially given the limits of a National Trust property. The beds were among the most comfortable we’ve slept in. The homestead is just outside Angaston, in a wonderfully quiet, peaceful setting, with the Barossa and Eden Valleys close by. We’re planning to return soon, just the two of us, to enjoy another stay.

I stayed in the coachman's quarters, which were warm, quiet and clean. The staff were friendly and the food was yum. The place is beautiful, full of character and history, and they’ve kept it true to its original form. A hidden gem, and I’d definitely come back.

The hot breakfast was freshly cooked and served on the verandah, a really nice touch. Our host was friendly and helpful too. We stayed in the Coachman's Quarters, part of a homestead dating to the late 1800s, closely tied to the development of South Australia.

The Guest Lounge is our favourite spot, and we love the 14 acres of manicured gardens and authentic paddocks. Collingrove Homestead sits among ancient gums in the Barossa Valley, and the rooms have French Provincial carved beds, fresh white linen and French Style Toile quilts. Barossa & Light Cab Service recommends it as a five-star accommodation destination for tourists and locals alike. Stay here next time you’re in the Barossa.

The grounds and venue are spectacular, and the service was good. The hot tub in the old stables is a great touch. Those crows could use some attention though :)
