Our friends Graham and Louise, who live in Appollo bay, suggested we try dinner here. The staff made us feel welcome, and our host was a lovely man. I started with salt and pepper calamarie, which was sweet and cooked just right. My herb-crusted lamb chops with vegetables were fantastic, especially with the delicious jus. My husband really liked his special HSP Snitzel with chips and salad. We enjoyed it so much we're tempted to come back for curry night tomorrow.

Ali was such a brilliant host. We've eaten in pubs all over Australia, plenty of them, and his hospitality really stood out. The staff member serving us was helpful, there was lots to look at on the walls, and our kids enjoyed their meals. I also loved the beer on tap. We had a great visit to the great ocean rd brewhouse.

The warm atmosphere and friendly, quick table service made a family dinner for eight feel easy. We happened to visit on Steak night, and several of us chose the porterhouse with chips, salad, and a choice of sauces. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the steak was cooked just right. The food was good without the silly prices some other coastal places charge for rubbish. A venue we'd gladly come back to.

The welcome here is really friendly, and the customer service was great. My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and thought the food was fantastic too. A nice place to walk into for a drink and a bite. Thanks, Daymon and Joelle.

We liked lunch so much that we came back the following evening and sat by the fire. My husband had the salmon, which looked amazing, and I ordered another Thai beef salad. The first time around, his butter chicken was wonderful and my salad was fresh and delicious. The premium tasting padel is a must. Absolutely lovely pub.
