Smoky Cape Retreat

Ken and Mary made the stay memorable. They were so welcoming and full of positive energy, and their gentle reminder to really live life was a lovely gift. I’m glad we got to meet them. The retreat itself was beautiful, carefully maintained and thoughtfully put together, with more than just the basics. Its location also worked perfectly for our trip to South West Rocks. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

Our dog was enthusiastically welcomed, which we really appreciated. Ken, one of the owners, made us feel comfortable and at home, and you could sense how much he cares about the property and town. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. It’s also in a great location. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you need somewhere along the mid north coast of NSW.

We needed a room at short notice for that same night, and the property had one available. Ken and Mary greeted us and were lovely people. Our room was very nice, with a refurbished bathroom. We were only there for one night, so we didn’t get to use the swimming pool or tennis court. There was plenty of space to park the boat trailer we were towing. The Arakoon location was peaceful and quiet, and very good for us. I’d recommend the place and would stay again if I’m in or around South West Rocks.

The garden has a lovely tropical feel, with beautiful plants, and we really liked the vibe and energy of the place. The covered BBQ had everything we needed to cook brekki, with a view over the tennis court and swimming pool. Parking was easy. Ken greeted us warmly and showed us around, and Mary made us and our dog feel at home. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed, with a large bathroom and a spa bath we really enjoyed.
