The location is fantastic, check-in was quick, and the refurbished room was pleasant. The Smart TV was great, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Still, at $189, the price felt too high for what was on offer. The outside and car park urgently need updating, and despite the room refresh, it still had a budget, DIY feel. There were housekeeping and maintenance problems: hair on the toilet, mould on the bathroom window and a leaking showerhead. We only had tea and biscuits in the room, with no coffee, which was a big letdown. The bedside lamps felt too harsh, and softer or frosted bulbs would make them more comfortable. Guests were smoking outside rooms despite the no-smoking policy, which didn't seem to be enforced. The stay was pleasant in some ways, but the cleanliness and maintenance issues, along with no coffee, kept my rating down. I'm not sure if I'd stay again.

The man at reception kindly switched us from an upstairs room to one on the ground floor, since stairs are difficult for us now we're older. We've stayed at this motel before because it's within walking distance of the shopping centre. The shower is great and the bed comfortable.

The motel has been nicely renovated, and the city centre is close by with plenty of good restaurants around. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. A perfect place to stay.

The quilt was quite thin, so the room felt a bit cold at night. Still, it was great value. The room was really clean and seemed to have been renovated recently. It's right next to the church, with a lovely area to walk around.

We had a nice meal close by, with the local shops and restaurants an easy walk away. The room was tidied while we were out for the day, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was included in the room price, a great idea. We’d stay again when travelling to or from Queensland. Thanks, guys, you did a good job.
