The hosts were very welcoming, and we were comfortable for our two nights. The rooms aren't modern, but there was plenty of space and all we needed: a good TV, comfy beds, and kitchen gear for cooking. It's remote, so bring all the food you'll need.

Rob took us up the river the next day for an awesome cruise, with sea eagles and blue Kingfishers on show along the way. The hosts were very friendly, and the rooms were cheap at $130/night. There were plenty of cooking utensils for making a bit of brekky or tea. Highly recommend, we'll be back.

Nothing was really wrong with the place, but nothing stood out either. The furnishings felt a bit dated, though that's understandable in such a small, remote town. There's no wifi, but your carrier should get 3/4G, so you're not completely cut off. You can see the beach from the parking lot, but the rooms don't offer much of a view. Cable TV works fine and is perfectly acceptable. Given what's available nearby, it's not a bad place to stay.

If you're taking the boat cruise, this is very convenient accommodation. Just remember there's no supermarket in town. The convenience store only has the bare necessities, nothing fancy. For grog, you'll need to go 15km to Marrawah Hotel, where you can also stay for a great meal.

I stayed here in late Dec 2020. It was a great little place, clean and comfortable, and Owner Rob was really friendly and happy to chat. Thanks for having me, it was a great stay!
