Winter weather adds to the wild feel of the coastline, and it was lovely to come back to a warm, cosy property after exploring. The heaters were already on when we arrived in the dark, which made the place welcoming. I really enjoyed sitting outside in the rain at night, listening to the waves crash at the heads and planning the next day's exploring. This was a peaceful Tassie Off-season getaway, and as someone who works in hospitality & tourism, I appreciated it even more. We came to explore and photograph the phenomenal coastlines of the NW. On the first night, we unexpectedly saw a strong naked eye Aurora, brilliantly visible from Edge of the World platform. Winter is by far the best time to experience this region, whatever the weather. Thanks, I'd love to return next winter for longer!🥂🌻

We've been three times in as many years, and I'm sure we'll be back. Michael and Grace are great hosts. It's a perfect mix of 'shack' and 'luxury'. Sitting outside by the firepot is a treat, with shelter from rain and a moderately nasty westerly straight off the ocean, plus an inspiring view of the surf at the river mouth. I can sink a longneck or two, play my tunes on the outdoor Bluetooth speakers, then head inside for a candle lit spa with the Mrs. Thanks, Michael and Grace.
