B&B Squeakygate Retreat

We came for a relaxing week, and the evenings on the balcony, just listening to the countryside, were so soothing. From our room there was a beautiful view of the Clarance River. The room was more spacious than we'd expected and very comfortable. Cheryl is a great cook, and Lance and Cheryl both put a lot of effort into making sure you're comfortable. We highly recommend the Squeakygate Retreat and B & B.

We were in Australia for two weeks, and this was our favorite place to stay, with the best night's sleep of the trip. My family and I spent one night at Squeakygate Retreat in early January, and it left us wanting to return. It's a little way off the highway, but the short drive is worth it. The room was clean and comfortable, with the things we needed to make food, including sugar, pots, pans, glasses, tea, coffee, and biscuits. In the morning, our hosts made us a lovely breakfast. Lance and Cheryl were relaxed and accommodating even though we arrived a bit late, greeting us with smiles and good humor. The stay felt peaceful, and there are lovely views of the Clarence river across the street and from the deck, along with a beautiful field. Thanks for such an amazing time. We hope to visit again.

The hosts were really nice and accommodating, and breakfast in the morning was great. Our room was spacious and nice, right by the Clarence river. I recommend trying some of the hosts' own wine, then sitting on the balcony to enjoy the view. We loved staying here.

The region had plenty to do, from swimming, snorkeling, fishing, hiking and cycling to sightseeing. We also saw lots of wildlife, including dolphins, kangaroos, many kinds of birds and fish, and Bella and Freddie, who were the stars of the show. At the B&B, we got to use the relaxing spa with colored mood lights, and went stargazing one night. With no light pollution, we could see all the constellations and even shooting stars. Lance and Cheryl were amazing hosts during our holiday week. Breakfast was lovely every morning, especially the homemade jams, and dinner was delicious homemade pies. Our room was comfortable, with its own ensuite and a great shower with strong water pressure. It also had a TV with a DVD player, which we enjoyed each night. Having balcony access from the room was a big plus with our dog, since we could let her out at night or in the morning. We absolutely loved it and will definitely come back.
