The huge garden felt like a little oasis in the city, and breakfast was lovely, with fresh baking and Greek yoghurt. Grove Manor B&B is a historic place in Ashgrove, Brisbane, run by the kind couple Fiona and Trevor. The rooms were clean and tidy, and we hope to return one day.

Waking up to the smell of Fiona’s muffins was amazing, and I can’t wait for our next trip up so we can stay with them again. Trevor and Fiona are such warm, welcoming hosts. The place is quiet, relaxing and friendly, with lovely surroundings, plenty to look at and great facilities. It was comfortable and affordable, and felt like stepping back in time. I can’t rate it highly enough.

The breakfast was beautiful, and the hosts were really helpful with information about Brisbane and the surrounding area. The accommodation was excellent, and they were friendly and attentive to the details. We had a very enjoyable stay.

My wife and I will definitely stay with Trevor and Fiona again on our next trip to Brisbane. Grove Manor is a warm, relaxing house with a classic step-back-in-time feel, and they’re lovely people to spend time with. The three-course breakfast was one of the freshest and most delicious we’ve had: poached pears with rosemary, homemade yogurt and granola, fresh eggs with bacon, tomato and mushrooms, then blueberry muffins with homemade butter and lemon curd. The location also surprised us, with quiet, beautiful surroundings, trees and natural views. We’re truly grateful for the warmth and for how special you made us feel. The night was so relaxing because you were friendly and accommodating. We don’t have enough words to say how thankful we are.
