We stayed here because it was close to our airport parking before an overseas trip, and with no room that had enough beds for us, we had to stick it out. We were up at 3am for our flights, but the people staying next door sat right outside our door chatting until after midnight, so none of us got any sleep. Their belongings were piled out through the doorway onto the sidewalk, which made for a poor first impression. The room looked clean at first, and the bedding seemed fine, but it smelled strongly of stale cigarettes and unwashed bodies. The odor came from the carpet and curtains. We bought a can of carpet deodorizer at woolies and used the whole thing, which helped for about half an hour before the smell returned. The lights had exposed wiring and were coming away from the wall, so we had to keep the kids from using them. We only booked for one night and won’t stay again.

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to chermside and parks, and the washing machine is free, though the dryer takes coins. The place is old but was tidy and clean during our stay. It looks like renovations are underway, with the pool out of action and work sites out the front. The lawns need attention, reception is falling apart, and the rooms don’t feel fully secure. The vanity cupboard was hanging on rusty hinges, and the motel doesn’t look like the advertised pictures. Fine for somewhere to sleep for a few days.

A quiet, surprisingly clean place for my one-night stay. The owner was helpful and booked a taxi for me. WiFi was available, but there’s nowhere to get food within walking distance, so bring transport or be ready for quite a walk.

We only stayed because we needed to be near the hospital, and I was disgusted by the condition of the place. The bathroom floor was filthy, and the paint on the wall tiles was coming off in chunks. The carpet was disgraceful, the curtains were torn and dirty, and the top and sides of the fridge were caked with grime. Even the mirror was very dirty. There was no TV during our two nights, and the only bench was taken up by a huge, useless TV. Don’t trust the photos, they must be 30 years old. Never again. Avoid this filthy dump.

The clean, comfortable bed and clean carpet were about the only good things. The fridge was full of mould, the curtains were filthy, the microwave was rusty and dirty, and the lounge was stained and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Paint on the bathroom tiles was peeling off too. Getting the dodgy door locked and unlocked took help. It looked like an abandoned work site, nothing like the booking photos. The pool was advertised, then I got an email two days before arrival saying it was out of action for upgrades. Staff seemed friendly when I arrived. This was the worst kept motel I’ve stayed in. I hope the owner puts some money into maintaining the rooms, especially that fridge, instead of renovating the office. It was disgusting.
