One Global Resorts Green Square

The room was nice and big, the gym was good, and we enjoyed our three-night stay. Good rooms, service and parking. The only problem was the downstairs spa, which was so hot that nobody could get into it.

The location is great, with a good range of restaurants nearby, but our stay was pretty disappointing. Check-in took far too long because we were waiting for a cot to be set up. We sat in the foyer for 20 minutes, then were told the room was ready, only to find no cot in it. The blind cords also weren’t properly installed. They dangled freely and hadn’t been screwed into the window frame. With two young children, one of them crawling, we weren’t willing to risk it. Reception agreed to move us, but we waited another 15 minutes for someone to bring the key. The second room was smaller, though it had a better view. The pool area was dirty, with rubbish in the cabanas, and wasn’t well looked after.

I was disgusted by the state of our room. The ensuite had dirty towels, the kettle was filthy, and the main bedroom’s sliding door had a broken lock even though we were on the second floor. The floor-to-ceiling windows were so dirty and smudged we could barely see out, and pigeon poop was caked on the balcony. I know that’s a problem, but seriously. I couldn’t even tell what was on the kitchen floor, and we found three very dead bugs. The manager on duty was very apologetic, came up to vacuum the bugs and tried to fix the lock. I asked to have the windows cleaned, but that wasn’t done. Pictures don’t lie. I can’t believe a TV show is taped here. I bet they make sure those rooms are pristine. Too bad a regular Joe doesn’t rate. Do better, One Global Resorts.

The pool was such a treat in the morning. It was so quiet that I had the pool and spa to myself, and honestly I enjoyed it even more than The Crown’s Infinity Pool. We also had a really nice, restful belated Valentine’s getaway at One Global Resorts. Esther at reception was lovely to chat with and made check-in feel genuinely welcoming. We were upgraded to a two-bedroom with a balcony, and it was clean, cosy and modern. Woolies was right across the road, with the station, restaurants, a laundromat and KFC nearby too. We mostly stayed in and had ramen from RaRa Ramen and ice cream from Messina, but I’d like to try more places next time. We’d been watching MAFS 2026 and thought it’d be fun to check the hotel out. The whole family had a peaceful time.
