The staff were lovely and helpful, and this was a much appreciated stop after a long drive down from NSW on the way to Melbourne. I really liked the renovated, well-equipped rooms and their retro feel. The tobacco smell is deeply embedded, though. Without that, it would have been 5/5.

It’s an older place, but our room was very clean and had a nicely updated shower. The makeup remover cloth was a thoughtful touch, and the venue was quiet with some good places to eat within walking distance. Mitchell Tavern is an easy walk too, and I’d recommend it for the great food and service. We had a lovely stay. The young family running the place were friendly and welcoming, and we’d definitely visit again.

We could walk to nearby cafes and restaurants, and the customer service was friendly. The room was spacious, and the spa was great for relaxing. There was a step down into the shower and another up to the bed platform. We left the light on while sleeping so we wouldn’t trip on the way to the bathroom.

At short notice I needed a family room for three adults and two infants. I tried booking online, but couldn’t enter our specific details, so I called instead. The friendly staff were efficient and made the booking easy. We got two adjoining rooms connected by an internal door, which worked great. Everything was very clean, there were lots of amenities, and we appreciated having plenty of towels.

This is a wonderful place to stay, run by a lovely family. The owners and Jackie at reception are always friendly and happy to help with anything. It’s well worth staying here. Support local and book direct.
