Room 20 felt neglected and meanly maintained. The overall impression was that very little care, effort, or money had gone into it for years, which made it an insult to the industry and to anyone stuck staying there. The air conditioner was old, loud, and overworked, and seemed to be the source of a sharp, acrid smell like overheating electrical insulation. The room itself was hot and stuffy. The door had to be slammed noisily to latch. The tiny fridge also looked nearly as old as I am, just a few years from retirement, and there was a miserly amount of milk for tea and coffee. There was no sink by the tea and coffee setup, so I had to try to wedge the kettle under the worn-looking bathroom taps. A small table that looked older than the internet was jammed against a heater with grime that looked old enough to vote.

A great location for budget accommodation, with a bakery next door for snacks. It's an older place, but very clean and tidy. The welcome at reception was exceptional.

The staff were welcoming, and the clean, older-style motel had a good shower and a comfortable bed. It's handy having a laundromat, bottle shop, and takeaway places next door. The grounds could look a bit nicer, but it's good value otherwise. Recommended.

For the price, this was great value. The older motor inn is showing its age, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. I stayed one night.
