BIG4 Ballarat Goldfields Holiday Park

I’ve been staying here for about 4 years and always prebook the same spot for the same time next year. That’s how good it is. The staff are friendly, and cooking and toilet facilities are clean and spread out nicely. Coffee and ice cream vans visit every other day, with family friendly entertainment organised by staff during holiday periods. It feels safe for young kids to run around, since everyone understands that children have right of way. At night it’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

The campsite is really clean and tidy, with all the facilities you could want and more. It’s in a great location, very close to Sovereign Hill. This would be fantastic for people with kids. I don’t have kids, though, and my spot was beside the jumping pillow, where kids gather. When they jump, it sounds like thunder. Luckily, it’s deflated at night.

The park was clean, neat, and tidy, though it’s showing some age and wear. It’s compact, with lots of facilities, especially for families. I liked it.

The bathroom floor being warm was such a nice surprise! The park is lovely and clean, with a lake just across the road. Staff were friendly, and it's an easy short walk to Sovereign Hill, so I'd recommend it if that's on your list.
