WM Hotel Bankstown

The night ended with my friend and me shifting a mattress ourselves, after the maintenance person suggested moving it from his room into mine. My friend’s air conditioning wasn’t working, and when he raised it during the night, the person on duty couldn’t fix it. He didn’t offer a refund or another room either. We were only there for one night, it was very late, and we couldn’t find another place, so we went along with the suggestion, intending to ask a manager about a refund in the morning. The person didn’t even try to move the mattress. In the morning, the manager never appeared. The receptionist seemed unconcerned and didn’t apologize or show any remorse, though they did agree to refund one room. My own room smelled strongly of fresh paint, which my wife and I had been willing to put up with. After this, though, I can only call it my worst hotel stay. It’s a motel at best, and the team and management seem to think far too highly of themselves. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I had a family room for four, and it was huge, with three beds. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. From reception through to the room, everything felt amazing. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bankstown on vacation.

Our trip was ruined. I was in town for a Cricket Match and music concert, but none of us could sleep, and we ended up with one bathroom for five adults and a kid. The staff took my room keys back and said I couldn’t use that room or its bathroom, so we had to share the bathroom used by my other family members. They later said I’d get a refund for my room, but not the other room my family had paid for. Reception told me to wait for the manager, then said the manager wouldn’t be available for two days. The reservation staff was very rude and seemed ready for us to complain. She kept saying it was the manager’s call, she couldn’t do anything, and we were welcome to leave bad reviews. My aircon wasn’t working. The maintenance/ gaurdian tried to repair it for 1.5 house, until 1:30 am, but couldn’t. They had no other room and refused to arrange one at another hotel. A staff member told me to move my mattress to the room where my family was staying, then wouldn’t help carry it. I couldn’t believe I was hauling a mattress with my family after paying $200 a night. There was just one staff member for all the rooms, more like a guardian than staff, and none of the windows opened. The pictures online show a corridor and newly renovated rooms, but the place looks like a dodgy motel. It’s a motel advertised falsely as a hotel. I can’t recommend staying here. No one seemed to care about paying customers, and I don’t know how they charge so much and get away with false this false advertisement.

We had five adults and a kid sharing one bathroom, and the whole place ruined our trip. Staff were rude and dismissive, with no apology or goodwill. The manager was “unavailable” for two days, and the receptionist said we could “post a bad review if we want.” One room had broken AC. Instead of helping or offering a refund, staff told us to move the mattress ourselves into another room. They then took the key back when we asked to use the bathroom in that room we’d paid for. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, and were dirty, noisy and unsafe. This is a dodgy motel advertised online as a hotel. Avoid it, it’s not worth the money or stress.
