Walkers cottage made it easy to bring the whole family, including our child and pet, which we really appreciated since places that suit both can be hard to find. Annette was lovely and communicated so well. The accommodation was beautifully appointed, and the views are stunning. Even in the difficult weather, Colenso was wonderfully peaceful. We love this place and will be back.

It was such a peaceful, quiet getaway, with lovely views across the surrounding fields. We loved the cottage and would happily return. The bedrooms did get uncomfortably hot during the hot summer weather, as there was no air conditioning. Apart from that, it was a perfect escape.

The night sky alone made the trip worth it. There were billions upon billions of stars, just incredible to look at. We also loved the tranquil open surroundings and the sunrises and sunsets. Our stay at Colenso Country Retreat was amazing. Just WOW!

We spent a really relaxing time in this cozy house and came away with lots of photos. The yellow canola fields right outside were so beautiful. Highly recommend.
