It’s handy for the local beaches, and there’s a small pool for anyone who’d rather swim there. The property is old, though. The cooktop and oven need replacing, as does the couch, and the towels and bedding had a strong bleach smell.

Batehaven is a good base here, with shops and beaches nearby and Batemans Bay’s centre a few kilometres away. The building is old, but the apartments are an okay size. Our unit, number 12, was very old and dusty inside, though it worked for a couple of nights. There’s a small pool we didn’t try, and the place is generally handy for families.

We had a lovely stay in a comfortable, very clean unit, suitable for either a short or longer visit. Shops, restaurants and the beach are close by. Booking through Booking.com or another management channel, they were quick to respond and accommodating. We’ll definitely come back.

The owner was unprofessional. The listing said the pool was included, but it wasn’t. They gave every excuse under the sun, even saying it was closed because local Aboriginal kids kept swimming in it. So rude. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
