We were a group of 21 and had no trouble getting our requests and needs sorted. The man at reception was welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were nice, with comfortable beds and an easy-access shower. They were typical hotel rooms, and we couldn't complain. We took 17 rooms, mostly downstairs with a few upstairs. The place overlooks the water and is only about a five-minute walk from the centre of town. There's plenty of parking and a swimming pool that's not huge, just the right size. There's also a cafe upstairs for breakfast, but it wasn't open during our stay and isn't accessible for people with mobility issues. No laundry facilities on site either, so you'd have to use the local laundromat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here. Top marks.

The room was spacious and the motel is in a great spot. But the cleaning was only half done. Towels, tea and coffee, soap and shampoo had been replenished for new guests, yet the table still had food crumbs on it. There were open soap and shampoo bottles on the floor, and two used towels were still hanging in the bathroom.

The room was clean and worked well for families, with a pool outside and shops and the bay close by. The bed had no doona, just a pile of sheets and blankets that tangled up and weren't comfortable to sleep in. Getting to the toilet was awkward too, since it's behind the bathroom door and there's a doorstop on the ground. I tripped over it multiple times.

The receptionist was nice, which was about the only saving grace. The room was tiny and had no sink, so we had to get water from the bathroom. No microwave, one cake of soap for two people, and no hand towel. The room wasn't serviced, so the bed wasn't made and we didn't get clean towels. There wasn't a screen door either. Worst motel we've ever stayed at.

The bed was comfortable, and town is just a two-minute walk away. The property combines two motels side by side and has been thoroughly renovated. Hot water takes a little while to come through, but there's plenty of it.
