Mariners on the Waterfront

The beach was right outside, with great places to eat and drink nearby. The location and view were lovely, and everything was beautifully clean. My only regret was having to leave.

The river views are fabulous, with a partial ocean view too, and the location is excellent. There’s direct access to the river and waterfront restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful, thank you. It’s a shame the hotel and restaurant closed 12 months ago. For a good meal and English pub atmosphere, try the Bayview hotel across the road. I’d highly recommend Mariners for its location and staff. We booked on arrival. The first ground-floor room was poor, with a shoddy renovation, a small TV and curtains that didn’t close properly. Our second night was in a much better renovated room upstairs with a balcony, though the TV was still small and the bed only just adequate. The venue feels overpriced for the age and condition of the rooms. The narrow, steep stairs make it unsuitable if you have mobility issues. Complimentary bottled water was provided.

Quiet at night, with clean rooms and sea views, so it’s a nice place for a relaxing holiday. Reception staff are friendly. There are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and Coles, Aldi, K-mart and Woolworths are about a 10-minute walk away. One of my favourite places to stay 😊👍

Right in the middle of Batemans Bay, with everything an easy walk away. The staff were amazing, and the cleaning crew were helpful too. On Saturday morning I mentioned some maintenance problems with my first room, and they upgraded and moved me with a smile. That first room, 311, had simply the best shower I’ve ever had. You know the Cinead O'Conner song, “Nothing compares to you”? Boom. I’ll always remember room 311 for its shower from heaven 😁😁🤣. The upgraded room was superb, with waterfront views. Top spot, top people 😁😁
