For a late arrival, the office was shut, but there was a ring camera and a key drop box. I called and got the code to retrieve our room key. The room was simple, clean and had what we needed. Good value for the money, and convenient for an overnight stop while passing through Bathurst.

Reception was very friendly, and the location was great, close to the town centre. It’s a five-minute walk to the Dudley Hotel for dinner. We had a lovely stay in a clean room, with a really comfortable bed, and it was nice and quiet.

The towels were old and felt like sandpaper, and the receptionist’s manner was about five out of ten. The shower tap handle fell off, and the wall light by the bed kept flashing on and off after about 30 seconds, so I couldn’t use it. We were promised the room at noon but had to wait until 12:30. I know it’s budget accommodation, but I won’t stay there again.

The first room smelled of vomit. Room number 5, the second one, had a high-pitched whirring noise from the air conditioning unit. Just terrible.

Comfortable and handy for the Bathurst race track, golf course, hotels, cafes and restaurants.
