We came here to unwind and did just that. The hosts are kind, and the tent is a great place to relax. There's a projector as a nice extra, and the view from the bath is amazing.

We checked in but didn't stay because the property felt unsafe. It was hard to find, smelled of mould, and the bathroom had spiders everywhere. There were also huge tears in the tent enclosure, leaving it open to bugs. We booked somewhere else for the night and asked booking.com for a refund, but they've been extremely unhelpful. If the owner is reading this, please refund what we paid and I'll delete the review. We did not feel safe staying there.

A lovely getaway, especially if you're happy with a natural setting rather than something clinical. There are spiders and other little creatures around, but they're harmless and help keep bugs away while you sleep. We had no trouble with the toilet, which others have mentioned, so perhaps it's been spruced up recently. Wilson was very accommodating, and his wife made us a beautiful pasta dinner. There are board games and DVDs, plus some cool places to explore nearby.

The setup is a nice idea, and we did get a bottle of wine, but for the price the place needs a proper clean. The tent smelled musty, there was mould on the projector screen, and the bathroom smell was unbearable. I know compost toilets aren't meant to smell like daisies, but wow. The outdoor spa had been drained, so we couldn't use it. At those prices and with that level of cleanliness, I'm not sure I'd stay again.

The tent was private and tucked away, and we had a lovely evening by the outdoor fire. There were a few webs and insects, which you'd expect in a rainforest. Our hosts were so welcoming and did everything they could to make the getaway memorable. We arrived to red wine and a delicious home-cooked meal, then got to know them and meet their feathered friends. They told us they rescue animals, mostly birds, that have been neglected or through trauma. You can see how much heart they have. Nothing was a problem for them. If you're a bit precious, book the Versace. I can't wait to come back. Five stars, absolutely!
